The SCP Foundation is tasked with containing anomalous objects, entities, and phenomena. These anomalies pose a significant threat to global security by threatening either physical or psychological harm. The Foundation operates to maintain normalcy, so that the worldwide civilian population can live and work without fear of the supernatural, the extraterrestrial, and other unexplainable incidents.
Information is strictly regulated on a need-to-know basis. Clearance levels range from Level 1 to Level 5, with additional specialized clearances for specific anomalies. Unauthorized access or information sharing is grounds for immediate termination.
